The material of the play – and scratch-cushion RECYCLE-CAT is recycled coffee-sack, recycled to the highest standards. Finished and underlaid with a layer of cotton. The fabric maintains its´ resistance but becomes flexible and smooth just like a cushion.
So, the material resists the strongest claws, but at the same time it is flexible and soft to lay on and snuggle.
Every scratch-cushion is unique and handmade in Barcelona. As the coffee-sacks are recycled, each one has its own story and individual design. We get inspired by each of them.
RECYCLE-CAT has play-elements on top, so Kitty may play as well: There is a little bag for a cushion with cat-nip and a double tunnel to hide plush-mice and treats.
The scratch-pillow can be hand-washed in cold water and ironed as required.
The RECYCLE-CAT cushion is filled with an insert made of cotton and filled with cork washable by hand in tibid water and dried on a laundry reck. The inlet should be plumped up during drying to separate the cork slides.
The scratch-cushion and the insert are handmade in Barcelona.
